Summary Description

Performs various tasks necessary to collect outstanding receivables, improve process for invoicing customers and support Senior Leadership with initiative to improve cash flow.


Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions:


    • Complies with all Tri-M safety, substance abuse prevention, and employment policies and procedures.
    • Complies with Tri-M’s standards of conduct and appearance to reflect positively on the Company.
    • Collect Customer payments in accordance with payment terms.
    • Perform collection calls and distribute collection emails in a professional manner while keeping and improving Customer relations.
    • Resolve Customer Billing issues and Accounts Receivable delinquency in a timely manner.
    • Follow-up timely on payment arrangements.
    • Coordinates and reports outstanding Accounts Receivable issues to contracts team including Accounting Manager.
    • Performs various tasks necessary to assist in improving cash flow through process improvements.
    • Updates existing Accounts Receivable Standard Operating Procedures and other accounting processes, as necessary.
    • Assists Cash Manager in posting cash receivables as needed.
    • Supports project team in billing customers as needed.
    • Maintains accurate records regarding customer payment statuses through the company accounting software system.
    • Maintains a positive and professional relationship with customer representatives.


    Job Qualifications:

    Education & Skills:


    • Minimum of 1 - 2 years’ experience in accounting or related field.
    • Collections experience a plus.
    • Basic understanding of bookkeeping.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
    • Ability to handle difficult situations in a professional and constructive manner.
    • Good organizational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize to meet deadlines.
    • Good attention to detail and accuracy.

    Physical Requirements:


    • Working 40 hours/week, scheduled in 8-to-10-hour shifts.
    • Sitting 6 to 8 hours/day.
    • Lifting weights of 0 to 30 lbs. from floor to above shoulders.
    • Vision adequate for daily and consistent computer use and reading.
    • Repetitive use of hands for writing, typing, data entry.
    • Hearing adequate for phone use.
