Summary Description

Responsible for all quality assurance tasks related to installations, testing, commissioning etc. for High Voltage and EnerG Test projects.

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Prepare surveillance reports, non-conformance reports and verification of corrective actions.
  • Provide quality assurance inspection for major and/or critical component deliveries. 
  • Expand and develop documented field processes, SOP’s and commissioning procedures. 
  • Review, expand and maintain existing quality assurance and quality control program as related to business units.
  • Perform weekly field audits to include documentation, blueprint drawings, procedures and processes being utilized, installation methods and techniques, PPE and safety audits.
  • Represent business units in formal customer meetings involving projects, prebid meetings, status meetings and kickoff meetings. 
  • In coordination with the in-house training department, provide training on quality assurance process, methods, procedures and expectations. 
  • Develop, maintain and present monthly and yearly quality assurance reporting metrics. 
  • Partner with safety team to resolve and/or handle team safety incidents and/or concerns.
  • Manage and coordinate yearly equipment and PPE calibration.
  • Manage and ensure all equipment used is calibrated and accompanied with valid certificates.
  • Assist and coordinate the preparation of the final hand off documents including QC/QA documents.

Job Requirements


  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience/education combination.  Minimum 2 years’ experience in a leadership or management role a plus.
  • Knowledge of electrical power systems and equipment, a plus. 
  • Knowledge of NFPA 70E, a plus. 
  • Experience in quality assurance/ quality control is a plus. 
  • Ability to read and understand Blueprints including single lines, schematics, and control drawings, a plus. 
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Well organized, with a strong emphasis on attention to details.
  • Ability to work as a team, in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Ability to adjust to rapidly changing priorities and work under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal, written and human relations skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Working a minimum of 40 hours/week.
  • Sitting 6 to 8 hours/day.
  • Lifting weights of 0 to 30 lbs. from floor to above shoulders.
  • Repetitive use of hands for writing, typing, data entry, and filing.
  • Vision adequate for daily and consistent computer use and reading
  • Hearing adequate for phone use.
  • Standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching, bending, twisting, and walking as needed to perform site surveys to collect data for project design.
  • Balance adequate for climbing ladders, scaffolds, and lifts.
  • Environmental factors include working in:  temperature extremes of 0 F to 100 F up to 8 hours inside or outside; atmospheric exposure to dust, gases, fumes, odors; and poor ventilation in confined spaces.
  • Special hazards include exposure to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and explosive hazards.
  • Personal protective equipment includes use of hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, gloves and hearing protection.
